Sorry I have not made any posts recently - I've had a hectic past couple of weeks.
I aim to begin posting more often by the first week of April.

The European Union

The EU is very important and should be, at this stage, supported by all communists and by all those who want a better life for all.
It will help to bring around the idea of internationalism and co-operation between peoples and countries.
The EU will bring about more freedoms to us - for example the freedom of movement between member nations - which we may not of been able to enjoy had it not been for the EU. Combine this with a growing liberal trend across Europe then all people across Europe should soon enjoy much more freedom and be much closer to our free and equal goal.
Should a 'Federal Europe' ever come into existence then I am sure it will be the closest to a communist state that Europe has ever seen, and if not, with the ability for much unity between the revolutionary groups across Europe will certainly be worth fighting for.
With the adoption of the Euro across Europe should one country fall then they'll all fall thus putting in a revolutionary spirit across an entire continent, something certainly worth our while.

US Healthcare Plans

The US Healthcare plans proposed by President Obama, although a start,
are not in anyway sufficent to bring about the most basic healthcare
to the people.
Providing money to help the people feed the capitalist hospitals in
America is in no way helping anyone and is simply bringing about the
eventual destruction of the working classes and then they can begin to
exploit not only the people but also the the 'democratic' government.
America needs to move towards providing their people with basic rights
such as healthcare. This could be achieved by slightly increasing
taxes - particually on the big buisnesses and the rich - and diverting
money from their 'defence' and instead putting into actually helping
people instead of killing them off.

Scottish Independence

This fresh proposal by the SNP is yet another sign of how much the unity between the people of Britain is under strain. As always the SNP argues that Scotland should be independent in order to be free to make it's own descions and overall, sucseed independent of the rest of Britain so that it can tackle issues concerning the Scottish people more thoroughly.
But surely in these hard economic times and times of great differences surely the best thing to do would be for the people of Britain and Scotland to stay united so that together we can overcome capitalism and opression. Not split ourselves up and impose needless borders between ourselves.
I believe that together the people of Britain should stay united for a better Britain, and ultimately a better World.
